About Jane Zumbrunnen

She is a Native American (Micmac) Basketmaker, specializing in traditional and fancy brown ash and sweetgrass baskets. She is also the 1997 receipient of the Traditional Artists Apprenticeship Award from the Maine Arts Commission for her achievement as a Master Micmac basketmaker.

This beautiful basket is the largest Native American basket I have ever seen with lots of loops and two handles! Possible Northeast Woodlands, in excellent condition, early to mid 20th century.
